Key Trends in the Global Leasing Market for 2026
According to the Solifi Global Leasing Report 2026, the volume of new global leasing business reached $1,538.8 billion in 2024, marking a 63% increase over the last decade.
North America, Europe, and Asia account for 96% of the global market. The top five markets—the US, China, the UK, Germany, and Japan—drive more than 73% of total market activity.
The report highlights several factors expected to impact the sector in 2026: the tightening of lending conditions, uncertainty regarding trade flows, and changes in the macroeconomic environment. Under these conditions, effective portfolio management, risk assessment, and the interconnectedness of financial systems take on greater importance.
At the same time, artificial intelligence and digitalization continue to impact the organization of asset financing and leasing operations, contributing to enhanced data processing, decision-making, and process efficiency.
